Sunrise at Skydeck 2017

Feb 07, 2017

To be honest I’ve been questioning myself and my abilities a lot lately. I don’t seem to be able to rise above the mediocre images that I take. I recently travelled to horse head rock and came back with no images that I liked. It seems that everything I try lately doesn’t work. I believe that I suck at my hobby but as someone who is naturally hard on themselves I don’t seem to be able to find a way to be ok with that. I shouldn’t complain too much as it looked as if it was going to be 100% cloud cover this morning so I’m thankful that I got anything at all. Seeing the hot air balloons go past was nice. How do I move forward…

Sword in the sky

Thought I’d try some architecture photography. I think I can improve so it’ll be interesting to keep trying.

Safety Beach and 500px

Jan 05, 2016

I’m finally on 500px. I’ve also updated the front page of the website. I wasn’t going to go out tonight but I’m so glad that I did. The weather looked terrible but we got a nice red sky over the water. The boat ramp was busy most of the time with some kids being really annoying. Once they finally left I was able to capture this image.

Skydeck in 2016

Jan 02, 2016

I got to skip the long queue by ordering a ticket online whilst in the line. The place was packed. I’m liking the remote phone control of the camera so far. Means I won’t move the camera whilst trying to change settings.

An amazing sunset with a fiery sky and mist on a surreal day. My last image taken for the year.

New Year

Jan 02, 2016

So it’s a new year. Here is a shot from the Yarra River looking back at the city. This is another image I wanted to re-do as I felt I stuffed it up so badly last time.
